March/ April Update

We’ve been very quiet on the blog of late as we’ve been so busy…

We were lucky enough to be shortlisted for the Sign & Digital UK awards last month where we lost out on Wide Format Printer of the year to very worthy winners Hollywood Monster.  It was great to be up against such strong competition and we hope to be there again next year.  We’ve a few exciting projects in the pipeline so hopefully they will help to strengthen our 2012 entry.  We enjoyed the Sign & Digital exhibition prior to the awards where we viewed some finishing equipment which will help to strengthen our in-house capabilities.

We’re currently working on an exciting project for a set design company and a large roll-out for a signage organisation but unfortunately can’t say any more about either project.  I can tell you about some wallpaper we’ve printed for a short film that is being filmed later this month.   We have printed some retro wallpaper with nursery rhyme characters designed by artist Nat Gausden which give the set a creepy/ dark feel.  The film director Richard Turley was kind enough to send some photographs of the set once the paper was up.  You can read more about the film at www.darklightfilm.com or follow them on Twitter @darklightfilm

April will be a busy month for us with an upgrade being installed on the Vutek GS5000r as we speak!  More news on that to follow…
